Out of the frying pan?
Apr. 19th, 2022 02:05 pmThere's a larger odd-job coming up, so that might buy me some time. I applied for a warehouse job and actually got an interview for Thursday, so that's good. Not a job I wanted, but at least it'll keep me above water until I can find something more to my liking. Hopefully.
It requires 12-hour shifts of standing and moving heavy boxes, which I'm not sure I had the stamina for before... but with HRT, my energy levels are all over the place. I can have superpowers one day and collapse after ten seconds of running the next. My body chemistry is a mess. So this job is absolutely a stopgap, because I doubt that my body will last too long.
Meanwhile, Kontext page 3-87 is a disaster. :T
The sketching pass is lovely! But then I realized that I'd made an amateur mistake with the visual composition, and I've been trying to rearrange the page ever since. But I just can't make it work. Now it's Tuesday of the week the page is supposed to go up, and I'm still wrestling with the sketch phase. And there's a commission pose thumb that I was going to work on as soon as the page's sketch was done so that got delayed, and this whole pickle is just silly.
This is one of those times where you stop trying to work the problem and bail before the plane hits the ground. Accept that the page has an error, and get it done. Tonight: commission pose thumb, then page inks, then color flats. No "ifs," "ands," or "buts."
Wait, yes "ands," that one's okay.
The week did have bright spots! My bestie cousin came by yesterday, with a huge bag of clothes she was doing away with. She opened it up and said "Iffy, we're finding you a look. Today is fashion show day." XD So yesterday wound up being a lot of fun! Now I've got a ton of snazzy thrift hand-me-downs to mix into my wardrobe, which has put me in a good mood. My closet was very much pre-transition, and I've been too poor to do anything about it. So lucky to have this family.
