Atlanta Romp?
Mar. 12th, 2023 03:49 pmI've lived within fifty miles of Atlanta for the vast majority of my life, and have even lived downtown for several years while I attended art school.
I'm living with some family temporarily, but most likely my next move will take me out of the state. The housing rates around here have risen to astronomical levels, and at this rate I'd rather be somewhere where the mortgage/rent is dirt cheap. Further, there's certain paperwork regarding my transition that becomes exponentially easier, depending on where I live. So basically, leaving for parts unknown.
Atlanta isn't the fanciest city by any measure, but it has its share of places that I've loved. So one day soon, I'd like to revisit a few of my favorite spots. All over the course of a full afternoon, I'd go to the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. (Natural history is a longtime favorite subject of mine.)
Oh and at the end I'd eat at my favorite old pizza place from when I lived downtown. :9
I haven't gone on an actual vacation day/trip in years, and this would be fairly cheap! Each place only charges like thirty bucks. Even on my limited budget, it's feasible!
I'm just waiting for the right weather and moment. :D
